MINSK, 13 January (BelTA) – China Electric Power Equipment and Technology (CET), with support from the National Agency of Investment and Privatization (NAIP) of Belarus, is examining a possibility to implement an investment project in Belarus’ energy sector, BelTA learned from NAIP.
A subsidiary of the State Grid Corporation of China, CET specializes in constructing energy facilities under various investment models. The company’s portfolio comprises over 200 projects across 40 countries, executed through the EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) model. Additionally, CET independently secures financing and operates under public-private partnership frameworks, notably the BOOT (build–own–operate–transfer) model.
Representatives of the company conveyed their interest in pursuing a project in Belarus during discussions held after the Belarus Investment Days in China. It was a series of forums organized by the National Agency of Investment and Privatization in 2025.
