MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) intends to become a resident company of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry told BelTA.

A Belarusian delegation is in the People’s Republic of China on a visit. During the visit China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation signed an agreement of intent to become part of the Great Stone industrial park.

Apart from that, a business forum was held to highlight opportunities for investing in Belarus as a developing economy as part of the Silk Road. The forum was organized by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in association with the Development Research Center of the State Council of China. Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Pavel Utyupin, Ambassador of Belarus to China Kirill Rudy, the head of the Great Stone industrial park administration Alexander Yaroshenko, representatives of the State Customs Committee of Belarus, SZAO Industrial Park Development Company, representatives of Belarusian and Chinese financial institutions took part in the forum.

During the forum Pavel Utyupin presented Belarus’ economic and investment potential. A panel session was held to discuss the development of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. Participants of the panel session discussed topical aspects of the project’s implementation. Explanations were given regarding individual aspects of doing business in the Great Stone industrial park.
