Bellesbumprom's exports to Azerbaijan up 2.3 times in January-August 2017

MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) – Companies of the Bellesbumprom Concern increased exports to Azerbaijan by 2.3 times in January-August 2017, BelTA learned from the website of the company.

In January-August 2017 the Bellesbumprom companies exported $9.44 million worth of products to Azerbaijan, up 2.3 times from the same period last year. Sawn timber and plywood, sawdust boards and fireboard account for more than 54% of the Belarusian exports to Azerbaijan. Belarus also sells to that country its wallpaper, furniture, matches, paper, cardboard, doors, windows and other wooden products.

This area of exports is very promising for the Bellesbumprom companies. As for the shipments to the CIS countries, the biggest exports growth this year has been registered to Kyrgyzstan (4.8 times, $2.7 million worth of products) and Azerbaijan (2.3 times, $9.4 million worth of products).

In the volume of Bellesbumprom’s supplies to the CIS countries, Azerbaijan ranks fourth behind Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan has been rapidly developing, implementing numerous construction projects, that is why building materials, furniture, wallpaper and other interior items are of great demand.
