MINSK, 27 July (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ hosted a government delegation from the United Republic of Tanzania, led by Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa, BelTA learned from the company’s press service.

BelAZ Director General Sergei Lesin introduced the Tanzanian official to the production process of mining truck haulers and the company’s broad range of heavy-duty equipment. The delegation was also shown BelAZ’s most significant innovations for the mining industry.

The parties discussed prospects for cooperation, with Tanzania expressing interest in strengthening mutually beneficial ties.

“Tanzania borders on nine countries, many of which have active mining industries. All of them are connected through our port in Dar es Salaam, which could serve as a hub for equipment and spare parts deliveries,” said Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa. “We aim to create new opportunities for business between Tanzania and Belarus. In the near future, we plan to hold a bilateral business forum and would be pleased to welcome a BelAZ delegation to Tanzania.”

Sergei Lesin thanked the prime minister for the invitation and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to mutually beneficial partnership.
