Belarusian manufacturers to be featured at Armenia Expo in September

MINSK, 14 August (BelTA) – A Made in Belarus exposition will open as part of Armenia Expo 2019 due in Yerevan on 12-14 September, BelTA learned from representatives of the exhibition enterprise BelInterExpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Armenia Expo is one of the most important business events in Armenia. It draws companies from food industry, consumer goods industry, mechanical engineering, petrochemistry, healthcare, and information technologies.

The Made in Belarus exposition has been arranged by the  exhibition enterprise BelInterExpo with support of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Belarusian Embassy in Armenia. Brest Electrotechnical Plant will show railroad automation, remote control, and communication equipment and a system of automatic passenger train operation which helps keep to the timetable to within 30 seconds. Gomel Electromechanical Plant will showcase its universal retarder – a device installed on the railway track to slow railway cars as they move past it. Mogilev Plant Strommashina will demonstrate equipment to extract oil and water from deep wells as well as tubings for underground structures like metro and mines. Grodnooblselkhoztekhnika enterprise will present tillage and harvesting equipment.

BelInterExpo invites Belarusian enterprises to join the Made in Belarus exposition. The application will close on 22 August.

Armenia and Belarus develop cooperation in industry, IT, healthcare, and agriculture. Thanks to warm climate, Armenia gathers several harvests a year, which is why Belarusian agricultural equipment is in demand there. In 2018, the trade between the countries amounted to $45.8 million, with Belarusian export to Armenia at $34.5 million.

In 2019, BelInterExpo intends to stage over 40 exhibitions and showcase Belarusian goods in 25 countries, including Azerbaijan, Angola, Argentina, Bulgaria, the UK, Germany, Georgia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Qatar,  China, Cuba, Mongolia, Nigeria, the UAE, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Sudan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, the Czech Republic, and Sweden.
