Belarusian Industrial Forum scheduled for 3-6 May

MINSK, 27 January (BelTA) – The organizing committee for the 2016 edition of the Belarusian Industrial Forum has been set up in line with the relevant executive order signed by Belarus’ Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov on 26 January 2016, the press service of the Belarus government told BelTA.

“The organizing committee is tasked with preparations for the Belarusian Industrial Forum to be held in Minsk on 3 to 6 May 2016,” the press service said.

The committee is chaired by Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko. It comprises representatives of the Belarusian Industry Ministry, Energy Ministry, Transport and Communications Ministry, Architecture and Construction Ministry, Housing and Utilities Ministry, Trade Ministry, Education Ministry, the State Committee for Standardization, Science and Technology Committee, the oblast executive committees, the Minsk City Hall, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, research and production associations, and large manufacturing enterprises.

The 2015 Belarusian Industrial Forum was devoted to manufacturing cooperation in the Eurasian Economic Union. It brought together representatives of more than 240 companies from different countries. The business program of the forum included 15 events. The plenary meeting with the participation of representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission was the main event of the 2015 edition of the forum. Twelve international forums, the traditional competition of welding operators, and the fifth subcontract exchange were held as part of the event in Minsk.
