Belarusian electronics maker Adani to offer new diagnostics equipment

MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian electronics manufacturer Adani intends to start making new diagnostics equipment, representatives of the company told BelTA.

“We are building a new wing where we plan to start making new varieties of diagnostics equipment, including possibly equipment for magnetic resonance tomography and computerized tomography. Naturally the equipment will be sold under our Belarusian trademark,” Adani representatives told BelTA. At present Belarus has to import these kinds of equipment while Adani is an innovative science-intensive enterprise capable of manufacturing such products on par with world standards.

Today Adani supplies x-raying equipment to Belarusian state clinics and hospitals. “Most of the devices we make are unparalleled in Belarus. As far as large mobile screening solutions are concerned, these products are quite unique on the global market, too. Only several companies make them,” Adani representatives said.

The Belarusian company is taking part in the international healthcare technologies expo Belarus Medica 2015. The products displayed by Adani include a mobile scanning complex used to diagnose oncological diseases of female and male reproductive systems. The complex comprises a gynecologic ward, an ultrasound examination ward, a mammography ward, a lab capable of performing many kinds of tests, including a test able to detect antigens for the early diagnostics of prostate cancer. The mobile scanning complex is designed to detect oncological diseases of reproductive organs at an early stage and thus reduce mortality rate.

Other novelties include a short-focus roentgen therapy apparatus designed to treat malignant and benign skin formations, formations at moderate depths, and to provide palliative aid. The expo also features systems designed to digitize x-ray shots that can transfer outdated film-based x-raying equipment into the digital age at a minimal cost. The technology allows discarding old x-raying films in favor of digital workflow. Digital images can then be transferred between clinics and can be used for digital medical records.

Headquartered in Minsk, Adani Company was founded in 1991. It specializes in making x-raying equipment for medical purposes, security purposes, non-destructive testing systems, and instruments for analytical purposes. The company implements all the projects using its own resources. Adani offers about 40 kinds of science-intensive equipment and exports 85% of the output. For instance, Adani security solutions are shipped to over 60 countries, including the USA, China, countries of the European Union and Africa. The company employs about 400 people.
