Belarusian and Chinese youth to develop joint business projects

MINSK, 23 July (BelTA) - Belarusian and Chinese youth will develop joint business projects, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Belarusian BRSM Youth Union Alexandra Goncharova told BelTA.

The decision was made during official meetings between representatives of the Belarusian BRSM Youth Union and the All-China Youth Federation at the Third Youth Camp of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Beijing. For example, the parties are planning to set up a Belarusian-Chinese youth business incubator soon. “This will help engage youth in entrepreneurship more actively, develop successful business projects and attract investment,” Alexandra Goncharova said.

The youth organizations of the two countries are planning to continue to carry out more joint programs and projects. The decision was taken not to limit interaction to ties between the central committees but to gradually expand regional cooperation.

The Third Youth Camp of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in the People's Republic of China on 15-22 July. Its organizer is the All-China Youth Federation. It is the largest youth organization which includes 55 institutional members and over 94,000 regional members at different levels. In the SCO Youth Council the BRSM is a partner organization on dialogue in the field of youth policy. “The SCO Youth Council is a big platform for communication. In response to the address of the heads of state of the SCO member states to the youth, the camp representatives expressed support for their efforts to strengthen international cooperation and consolidate efforts in working with young people,” Alexandra Goncharova noted.
