Belarusian HTP development prospects outlined

MINSK, 27 On October (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin outlined the most pressing issues for the development of the Hi-Tech Park this year as he presided over a meeting of the HTP Supervisory Council, BelTA has learned.

According to Aleksandr Turchin, a wide range of issues will be discussed at today's Supervisory Council meeting. These include the registration of new residents, organizational regulations, the activities of crypto-residents, the improvement of crypto-regulation, and an initiative to support IT education.

"It is gratifying to note that this year alone, over 100 companies have already obtained HTP resident status, with more than 40 additional applications currently under review,” the prime minister said. “Some of the issues presented at the meeting are related to the use of crypto-assets. Our task is to thoroughly examine these matters and find a balanced solution that will foster the development of crypto-companies while safeguarding the state's economic interests."

One of the key topics is support for education. “This task is relevant for the entire education, but especially for IT. Our young people are talented, successful, full of ideas and energy, and we need to help them realize their potential,” Aleksandr Turchin said.
