Belarusbank ATM user interface now available in Chinese

MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – A Chinese localization is now available in Belarusbank’s ATMs, the bank’s press service told BelTA.

The Chinese localization will help expand Belarusbank’s cooperation with the Chinese companies that operate in Belarus. It will also make business and cultural contacts between Belarus and China stronger. Chinese tourists will be able to enjoy their stay in Belarus even more.

In August 2017 Belarusbank signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese company UnionPay International to allow UnionPay plastic card holders to use Belarusbank ATMs’ services in addition to making payments in the retail and service outlets, which have signed merchant acquiring contracts with Belarusbank.

Belarusbank also explores other prospects of cooperation with Chinese partners. In particular, Belarusbank enjoys solid partnership relations with the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone where the Belarusian bank intends to offer integral services.

Work to create Belarus’ first international investment fund with assistance of a major Chinese partner is about to complete. The fund will be open to foreign investors, including BRICS countries. It will finance projects, including those inside the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone.

“On the whole, China is a dominating vector in Belarusbank’s work. Every third U.S. dollar, which has been raised to finance projects in Belarus, comes from China,” stressed the press service.

Belarusbank is ready to continue the dialogue with the financial community of the People’s Republic of China to discuss interaction in all spheres of banking services and intends to advance fruitful cooperation. It will help further advance relations between Belarus and China, Belarusbank believes.
