Belarus, Ukraine set out to develop mutual trade

MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Ukraine intend to develop mutual trade by all means. The matters were discussed during Belarusian-Ukrainian consultations on economic cooperation in Kiev on 23 March, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Guryanov while the Ukrainian delegation was led by Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister Maxim Nefedov. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ukraine Valentin Velichko also took part in the consultations.

The sides agreed to bolster bilateral economic cooperation, promote the development of mutual trade in every possible way, step up deliveries of Belarusian and Ukrainian products onto each other’s markets. The sides decided to continue working hard to remove barriers and restrictions in the mutual trade, enable favorable conditions for diversified cooperation of the business circles of Belarus and Ukraine.

A meeting with representatives of the business circles that promote Belarusian products onto the Ukrainian market took place at premises of the Embassy of Belarus on the same day.
