Belarus trade fairs in Moscow report Br1m in sales

MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) - The trade fairsMinsk to Moscow which were held in the Russian capital during the Days of Minsk in Moscow, sold Belarusian goods worth Br1 million, Nikolai Rogashchuk, the head of the economy committee of the Mink City Hall, said at an operational meeting on 16 October, BelTA has learned.

The trade fair in Revolutsii Square on 10-15 October was made up of 67 wooden chalets allocated by the Government of Moscow. The fair featured the goods by the light, food and catering industries, artisans.

The fair offered meat, dairy products, sausage, pastries, honey, jam and tea. Visitors could get familiar with products of such companies as Minskkhlebprom bakery, Belryba, Kommunarka confectionery, Minsk Vegetable Factory, Bielita-Vitex cosmetics producer, Minsk Watch Plant Luch.

The Radzivillovsky trading house and the Stolitsa business center, Minsk Group of Bread Products treated visitors to the dishes of the national cuisine. Minsk department stores GUM and Belarus displayed souvenirs, leather goods, perfume and cosmetic goods. Craftsmen were showcasing wrought iron goods and ceramics, linen products, items made of leather and straw.

The trade fair near Novye Cheremushki metro station featured the products by Serge-Fashion, Galanteya, Nadex, Luch, Marko, Kommunarka. Another trade fair of Belarusian producers was held at the VDNh expo center.

The two cities have been closely cooperating since 2012. Minsk and Moscow exchange city days on a regular basis. They actively develop relations in different fields, ranging from trade and economy to social and cultural affairs. The Russian capital ranks first in the total merchandise exports of Minsk companies to the Russian Federation. Belarus and Moscow are currently implementing the plan of action to develop cooperation in trade, economy, science, humanitarian and social affairs, culture for 2016-2018.
