Belarus, Slovenia identify promising areas for cooperation

MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) - Belarus and Slovenia identified the most promising areas for cooperation during the economic forum which was held in the city of Maribor, BelTA learned from the National Agency for Investment and Privatization (NAIP).

The Slovenian-Belarusian economic forum was attended by over 130 participants. "The focus was on the opportunities for bilateral investment cooperation between the countries. They were discussed in detail during a roundtable with the participation of representatives of the public and private sectors of the two countries," the NAIP informed

According to NAIP project manager Roman Proskalovich, cooperation is one of the possibilities to prop up the economies of the two countries. "The most promising in this regard for our countries are such industries as mechanical engineering, automotive and automotive components, pharmaceuticals, energy, ICT and the food industry," he said.

During the presentation of the investment opportunities the Belarusian delegation highlighted future changes, in particular the improvement of the business environment for foreign companies in Belarus. Participants of the forum were shown the investment projects, among which was a project on the new-generation transportation systems developed by SkyWay. The participants of the forum discussed all possibilities for cooperation in more detail during B2B meetings.
