Belarus, Russia’s Samara Oblast discus cooperation with AvtoVAZ, machinery supplies

Moscow, 20 February (BelTA) - Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik met with Governor of Russia’s Samara Oblast Vyacheslav Fedorishchev in Samara on 20 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

“The parties discussed the supply of Belarusian equipment for the needs of Samara Oblast, cooperation in agriculture and machine building and paid special attention to the development of industrial cooperation, including with OAO AvtoVAZ. The parties reaffirmed commitment to intensifying cooperation in trade and economy, culture and science. Samara is looking to welcome a Belarusian delegation to the Russia - a Sporting Nation forum,” the press service said.

The parties also discussed the schedule of upcoming meetings at various levels. In particular, representatives of Belarusian enterprises are scheduled to come to Samara Oblast in March to fine-tune the agreements. “The governor of Samara Oblast is also planning a visit to Belarus,” the diplomatic mission added.
