Belarus ready to sell food, entire range of agricultural machines to Rwanda

MOSCOW, 21 August (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik met with Ambassador of Rwanda to the Russian Federation Joseph Nzabamwita, the press service of the Belarusian embassy told BelTA.

Aleksandr Rogozhnik and Joseph Nzabamwita sketched out possible steps for advancing Belarus-Rwanda interaction. The Belarusian ambassador mentioned readiness to offer the entire range of agricultural machines made in Belarus to Rwanda and organize aftersales service later on. In the context of ensuring food security Aleksandr Rogozhnik mentioned the possibility of selling Belarusian food on the Rwandan market. The Belarusian ambassador also said he was confident that a visit of representatives of Rwanda’s business circles to Belarus can give an impetus to the advancement of Belarus-Rwanda cooperation in trade and economy.

As potential spheres of cooperation Joseph Nzabamwita mentioned manufacturing sector and agriculture, information technologies, education, defense, and security.

Efforts to develop the legal base were also mentioned during the meeting.
