Belarus, Nicaragua outline steps to implement joint projects

MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov met with Laureano Facundo Ortega Murillo, Advisor for investments, trade, and international cooperation to the Nicaragua president, and Nicaraguan Minister of Foreign Affairs Valdrack Jaentschke on 26 June, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The talks covered a wide range of current issues related to political, trade and economic, cultural, and educational cooperation between the countries. The parties reviewed progress on earlier agreements, including the supply of Belarusian machinery and pharmaceuticals to Nicaragua.

The parties agreed to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in transport, industry, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals, and outlined near-term steps to implement joint projects.

The parties also reaffirmed their commitment to continued constructive interstate dialogue and strengthening mutual support on the international stage.

The Nicaraguan delegation expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in the Eurasian Economic Forum and emphasized its willingness to deepen cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union.
