Belarus, Kazakhstan’s Kostanay Oblast explore cooperation in agriculture, recycling

MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan Aleksei Bogdanov met with Kostanay Oblast Governor Qumar Aqsaqalov, the Belarusian embassy in Astana told BelTA.

During the meeting, the parties focused on boosting interregional cooperation and mutual trade, applying Belarusian technologies in agriculture, and launching projects in road safety, municipal waste recycling, water purification and treatment.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached on the participation of a delegation from Kostanay Oblast in the first Belarus-Kazakhstan agricultural forum in Astana on 23 October.

The discussion also touched upon further efforts in the industrial sector to boost localization in assembly manufacturing and arrange a visit for Belarusian enterprises to present their solutions in utility services and agricultural technologies.
