Belarus, Iran interested in expanding cooperation in air transport

MINSK, 10 March (BelTA) - Belarus and Iran are interested in developing passenger and cargo air transportation between the countries. This topic was discussed during the talks between the transport ministries in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Transport and Communications Ministry.

The main item on the agenda was the cooperation in air transport.

The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Transport and Communications Minister Sergei Dubina, while the Iranian delegation was led by Hossein Pourfarzaneh, Vice Minister of Roads and Urban Development and President of the Civil Aviation Authority. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Belarus Alireza Sanei.

Following the talks the parties signed a protocol of intentions. The parties also agreed to conduct domestic procedures necessary for signing an airworthiness agreement.
