MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) - Belarus hopes to sign a loan agreement with the EBRD to finance the energy infrastructure construction in the Free Economic Zone Minsk, Belarus Prime Minister Sergei Rumas during a videoconfernece meeting with EBRD President Suma Chakrabarti on 14 May, BelTA has learned.
“We continue to work on our current projects and to prepare the new ones. With regards the project to renovate M3 Highway and national bridges, we have almost completed the domestic procedures for the entry of the loan agreement into force.
What concerns our new project (building energy infrastructure in the FEZ Minsk) we have sent a package of documents to the head of state for approval and will soon be ready to sign the relevant loan agreement,” Sergei Rumas noted.
As it has been reported, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will earmark €259 million for the reconstruction of 12 bridges and the M3 Highway in Belarus. The relevant loan agreement was signed in December 2019.
