MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – Belarus and Ghana will set up an industrial cooperation council, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On 6 April, Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov met with Ghanaian Minister for Trade and Industry Ekwow Spio-Garbrah during his visit to the African country. The parties discussed matters related to the supplies of Belarus-made equipment, mechanisms for executing financial transactions, and prospects for setting up assembly plants. “Valentin Rybakov and Ekwow Spio-Garbrah identified specific areas for industrial cooperation. The Belarusian Industry Ministry and the Trade and Industry Ministry of Ghana signed a memorandum of understanding. The document provides for the establishment of the Belarus-Ghana industrial cooperation council,” the press service said.

Valentin Rybakov also met with the president of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “The parties exchanged views on the development of direct contacts between Belarusian and Ghanaian businessmen.
