MINSK, 28 May (BelTA) - During an official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, a delegation of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus led by Speaker Igor Sergeyenko and including Belarusian business representatives toured the dealership of Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) on 27 May. The delegation examined the service center and the process of transferring Belarusian technologies to Egyptian specialists, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.

As part of the visit, a contract signing ceremony was held for the delivery of more than 100 Belarusian tractors, vehicles by MAZ and tires by Belshina, totaling over $3 million.

Ahead of the signing ceremony, Igor Sergeyenko emphasized that these contracts contribute to the development of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Egypt.

He stressed that Belarusian products are in demand worldwide. "As we can see, the proven quality and reliability of Belarus tractors, MAZ equipment, and Belarusian tires will not disappoint Egyptian consumers. I am confident that our machinery will serve for a long time and support our Egyptian friends in implementing their projects for the further development and prosperity of Egypt," he stated.

The speaker assured that Belarusian deputies will support the country's commitments at the legislative level and create the necessary conditions to optimize business contacts.

"Belarus is interested in continuous and long-term cooperation with Egypt and seeks to increase trade [between the two countries]," Igor Sergeyenko said.
