MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – The Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus (DBRB) was honored by the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP), BelTA learned from the DBRB press center.

The Development Bank joined the ADFIAP a year ago. The DBRB was named best in the categories "Best Annual Report", "Best Website". In addition, the DBRB earned a special honor for the socially important project “School Bus”.

This week the city of Nha Trang, Vietnam, hosted the 38th Annual Meeting of the ADFIAP which was attended by a Belarusian delegation. "Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank Sergei Rumas made a presentation, held a number of bilateral meetings with the heads of the development institutions – members of the Association,” the press center informed. During the general meeting of the ADFIAP General Assembly Belarus’ Development Bank was officially presented as a full member of the association.

This year’s meeting was attended by major development institutions and banks from Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Russia, Japan, India, Vietnam, Turkey, Cambodia, the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia.

The Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) was established in 1976 and is currently one of the largest international networks of institutions of development, uniting 131 members from 45 countries.
