MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) - Amid an extremely unfavorable global environment, it is essential to prioritize cooperation with friendly nations, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Venezuela Dmitry Derevinsky told BelTA.

“We have established an exceptionally friendly and open dialogue with Venezuela, marked by mutual understanding on many bilateral and international issues,” the ambassador noted.

Ambassador Dmitry Derevinsky stressed that trade and economic relations between the countries should correspond to the level of political dialogue. “They must reflect the high level of interstate engagement that has long existed between our countries,” he stated.

“In today’s challenging global environment, we must first and foremost prioritize [cooperation with] friendly nations so that through joint efforts we can ensure the growth of our economies. A solid foundation was laid in Venezuela some time ago. Our main task now is to give momentum to our trade and economic cooperation so that it aligns with the high level of political dialogue,” the diplomat stressed.
