MINSK, 13 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian woodworking and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom and the Armenian-Belarusian Trading House Ar-Be have reached an agreement to deliver and sell new models of furniture, BelTA learned from the press service of the concern.

Efforts to bolster the sales of Bellesbumprom’s products on the Armenian market via the trading house Ar-Be were on the agenda of the talks between the representatives of Bellesbumprom and the Armenian-Belarusian Trading House Ar-Be led by Director General Zhevik Mkrtchyan in Minsk.

“The sides discussed the delivery and sale of furniture at the new trading center in Yerevan,” spokesperson for the concern Ruzhena Novitskaya said. “Belarusian furniture will be sold at the outlet with the area of 1,200 square meters,” she said. According to the Ar-Be director general, the new trading house will grant preferences in using trading space and holding advertizing campaigns in Armenia.

The list of manufacturers who will deliver furniture to Armenia will be compiled in the near future.

“Apart from the sale of furniture, the participants of the talks discussed other cooperation avenues,” the spokesperson remarked. “In particular, new products, namely isolating fiberboards produced at Mozyr wood processing plant as part of the investment project, were shown to the representatives of the Ar-Be trading house. The Armenian side was interested in these products. They were given samples of the fiberboards, got familiar with their technical characteristics and the areas of application to study the consumer demand for these products in Armenia,” she added.

Bellesbumprom and the Armenian-Belarusian Trading House Ar-Be launched the sales of Belarusian furniture in 2010. This trading facility sells the furniture of ZAO Molodechnomebel, ZAO Bobruiskmebel, OAO Gomeldrev, ZAO Pinskdrev Holding Company and OAO Minskmebel. Since 2010 Belarusian companies have delivered furniture worth over $500,000 to the Ar-Be trading house.
