MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry in association with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) intends to implement a project to reconstruct 11 bridges on major motorways, BelTA learned from Belarusian Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Avramenko.
“We intend to reconstruct existing bridges. It is a comprehensive project we intend to implement together with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development,” the official said.
The project costs about €106 million. It will be implemented in the next two to three years. “In this period we should reconstruct major bridges, which are now in pre-accident condition, and ensure their reliable carrying capacity,” Aleksei Avramenko noted.
