MINSK, 19 May (BelTA) – A meeting of the subgroup on security of the contact group on Ukraine is over in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
The session of the subgroup on security took place in the diplomatic service hall and lasted for about 5.5 hours.
In the subgroup on security Ukraine was represented by first head of the Security Service of Ukraine Yevgeny Marchuk, who has also held the posts of the prime minister and the defense minister. Russia was represented by Yaroslav Moskal, a representative of the General Staff of the Russian army. The operation of the subgroup was supervised by head of the OSCE special monitoring mission to Ukraine Ertugrul Apakan.
BelTA reported earlier that a session of the subgroup on humanitarian affairs also took place in Minsk on 19 May. The sides discussed exchange of prisoners of war and other matters.
