MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) - At the joint session the Prosecutor General’s Offices of Belarus and Russia agreed to set up an interdepartmental working group to promote cooperation between the procuracy bodies of the two countries, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian office.
The participants of the meeting noted that the issues of strengthening the legality in economic relations between the two states, compliance with the law and the terms of contracts are acquiring the fundamental importance today.
The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has checked the information provided by the Belarusian side about the failure by some organizations to comply with the contractual obligations and identified numerous violations of the law. The Russia authorities are investigating a number of criminal cases into the embezzlement of the funds sent as payment for the products delivered under the Russian-Belarusian contracts.
The inspections by procuracy bodies in Belarus show that there are numerous facts of improper management of pre-contractual and contractual base, non-fulfillment of the regulations of ministries and concerns.
The Prosecutor General’s Offices agreed to continue sharing the information on the facts of the violation of contracts and to ensure the thorough verification of this information.
