MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) – Belarus maintains constructive cooperation with Ukraine’s office at the CIS Executive Committee, Spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Mironchik told reporters on 13 November when was asked to comment on Ukraine’s decision to recall its representative from the CIS Executive Committee, BelTA has learned.
“I believe it is a purely technical decision. Our Foreign Ministry maintains constructive cooperation with Ukraine’s office at the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States,” Dmitry Mironchik assured.
“We are still convinced that the CIS format is useful; the joint work at the Commonwealth brings practical benefits to the citizens of the member states,” Dmitry Mironchik emphasized.
According to him, an additional testimony to that is the resolution on the cooperation between the UN and the CIS passed by the UN General Assembly on 11 November.
