MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – Belarus has joined the Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support, BelTA learned from the press service of the Justice Ministry.
“The Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance adopted within the Hague Conference on Private International Law came into force for Belarus on 1 June 2018,” the Justice Ministry said.
The efficient recovery of child support from abroad will be secured through the development of a comprehensive system of cooperation between the competent bodies of the Convention member states.
Among the participants of the Convention are Austria, Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, the UK, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, the United States, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, France, Croatia, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Sweden, and Estonia.
