MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko will take part in the Fourth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament which is due to take place in New York, BelTA learned from the House of Representatives.

The Speaker is also set to hold a series of bilateral meetings.

Vladimir Andreichenko met with UN/UNDP Resident Representative in Belarus Sanaka Samarasinha to discuss his participation in the conference, exchange views on the state and prospects of development of cooperation between the House of Representatives and the UN agencies in Belarus.

The World Conference of Speakers of Parliament is a forum held once in five years. It is organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union, an international organization which coordinates the activity of parliaments worldwide.
