‘Turnkey comprehensive solutions.’ Expert outlines Belarus’ approach to international cooperation

MINSK, 13 September (BelTA) - Belarus offers international partners not only supplies of certain types of products but also the creation of joint projects in various fields, such as industry or agriculture, economic analyst Yulia Abukhovich said in a new episode of BelTA’s V teme [On Point] project.

Commenting on the recent official visit of the president of Myanmar to Minsk and the talks with the president of Belarus, Yulia Abukhovich noted that such meetings produce results and deliver proper returns in the development of bilateral relations. “If we talk about Belarus’ relations with other countries, including Myanmar, they stand out for the supply of turnkey comprehensive solutions,” she emphasized. This means not only supplies of various types of products but also the launch of joint projects in industrial cooperation, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and other areas.

At the same time, supplies of goods also play a significant role in the development of economic cooperation. The expert believes that Belarus is capable of ensuring Myanmar’s food security. This is a country with a population of more than 55 million people that needs quality food products. According to Yulia Abukhovich, agricultural and other machinery is another promising area of interaction between Minsk and Naypyidaw.

As BelTA reported, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko held talks with President Min Aung Hlaing of Myanmar on 21 August. Following the talks at the highest level, a package of documents was signed in the trade, economic, scientific, technical, legal and other sectors. “A huge amount of work lies ahead to implement the mutually beneficial agreements reached,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said. “All agreements will be fulfilled on time, without red tape.”
