Tolokonsky: High-tech goods contribute to Belarus-Siberia mutual trade

MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) – The trade between Belarus and Siberia has been steadily increasing due to the supplies of high-tech products, Russia’s Presidential Envoy in the Siberian Federal District Viktor Tolokonsky said at the meeting with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 17 June.

“Our achievements over the past decade have been a huge step forward, a real breakthrough,” Viktor Tolokonsky described the cooperation and mutual trade between Belarus and the Siberian Federal District. In his words, the trade is mainly formed of high-tech products. With this, the mutual trade, according to him, “mobilizes many associated branches and gives a serious impetus to the development of the domestic economy.”

According to Viktor Tolokonsky, the President of Russia attaches close attention to the importance of developing interregional cooperation in making the Russian regions more integrated, first of all, with the countries, with which strong cooperation has been established already.

“Cooperation, regional integration between Belarus and Russia plays an important role in the development of the economies. I wish these relations, this cooperation will maximally develop in the future,” Viktor Tolokonsky stressed.
