Rapota: Union State to do its best to help Belarus resume food export to Russia

MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) – The Union State of Belarus and Russia will use all possible mechanisms to resolve the issue associated with the supplies of Belarusian foodstuffs to Russia, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota told reporters after meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on 9 December, BelTA has learned.

Grigory Rapota underlined that the matter was discussed at the meeting with the Belarusian head of state. Alexander Lukashenko voiced his position, and this position is known.

“I have reported on the recent expert meeting dedicated to this matter. The discussion will be continued tomorrow at the session of the Eurasian Economic Commission,” the State Secretary of the Union State said. “There is a problem and it should be settled, the sooner the better. “We will take advantage of all instruments and mechanisms of the Union State to resolve this issue as soon as possible,” he added.
