MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) – The crisis in Ukraine cannot be resolved by force, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the meeting of the presidents of the Customs Union member states, Ukraine and high representatives of the European Union on 26 August, BelTA has learned.

“We are ready to exchange views on the current situation in Ukraine, which, I am sure, cannot be resolved by further escalating the force scenario without damaging the essential interests of the south-eastern regions of the country," said the Russian President.

The meeting of the Presidents of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and high representatives of the European Union continues in Minsk. One of the central issues in the negotiations is to Ukrainian crisis.
