PM: Construction of Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park should start in 2014

MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) – Construction works at the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park should be launched in 2014, Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich said as he met with representatives of the Chinese engineering company CAMCE on 18 September, BelTA has learned.

According to the Premier, a great amount of work has already been done: a general plan and a detailed project plan of the first phase of the construction have been drafted; the design of engineering and transport infrastructure of the starting point is nearing completion. Mikhail Myasnikovich emphasized that the construction works should be launched as early as this year, simultaneously with the design works.

The Chinese partners praised the joint efforts to construct the park. According to the representatives of the Chinese corporation, despite all the difficulties, the project will be successfully implemented and will become a showpiece of the Belarus-China cooperation.

At the meeting the parties discussed in detail the financial aspects of the construction project, ways to attract resident companies and create high-tech innovative facilities. The Premier voiced the common view that the industrial park should be built fast and well.

The Chinese engineering company CAMCE (China CAMC Engineering Co. Ltd.) is a co-founder of the company to promote the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park. CAMCE specializes in running general contracts in international projects. The company has a rather large business scope. It includes transportation, municipal construction, power engineering projects, petrochemical projects, and other areas. The company has already implemented dozens of major international turn-key projects as well as projects to import and export complete plant equipment.
