Myasnikovich: Belarus, Russia have many interesting ideas for cooperation

MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia have many ideas for developing cooperation, Belarusian Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich said at the meeting with Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev on 21 October, BelTA has learned.

“We have a lot of joint projects, interesting ideas for expanding and developing our cooperation,” the Belarusian head of government said. In his words, many issues were discussed with Dmitry Medvedev in a one on one meeting. The Premier added that Belarus is ready to implement all the recommendations voiced by the Chairman of the Russian Government.

Dmitry Medvedev stated for his part: “I would like to confirm our readiness to discuss various issues related to the Russian-Belarusian cooperation, the more so as we have all necessary conditions for it.”

A session of the Council of Ministers of the Union State of Belarus and Russia is running in Minsk on 21 October. Participants of the session are discussing the fuel and energy budgets for 2014-2015, the main parameters of the Union State budget for 2015, and the operation of the united transport system of the Union State.

The session of the Union State Council of Ministers are also reviewing the results of the fulfillment of a number of scientific and technical programs and are discussing a new draft R&D program for creating high-performance computer technologies for the effective use of the resource potential of hydrocarbon raw materials of the Union State of Belarus and Russia (SKIF-NEDRA).

There are a total of 35 items on the agenda of the session. They cover all the spheres of work of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
