MINSK, 24 July (BelTA) - The level of cooperation of Belarus and Lithuania is high enough and the two counties can seek to implement major infrastructure projects, Belarus Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich said as he met with Foreign Minister of Lithuania Linas Linkevicius, BelTA has learned.
Mikhail Myasnikovich said that Belarus and Lithuania have good neighborly relations. The two countries try to address the issues in a constructive manner. The Prime Minister described the Belarusian-Lithuanian cooperation as a fairly dynamic. “We can seek to embark on more serious projects, infrastructure projects," he said. Mikhail Myasnikovich said he would like to the agreements reached at the level of Prime Ministers to continue to be implemented in the future.
Linas Linkevicius, for his part, stressed that Belarus and Lithuania need to maintain and nurture the bilateral relations, respecting each other's positions.
Lithuania Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius is in Belarus on a working visit till 25 July. The agenda of the visit includes the whole range of issues of Belarusian-Lithuanian cooperation and the interaction between Belarus and the EU. This is a return visit: Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei visited Vilnius on 28 February-1 March 2014 on the invitation of his Lithuanian counterpart.
