MEP from Poland calls to develop concept of energy bridge with Belarus

MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) - It is time to promote the idea of developing the concept of an energy bridge with Belarus, Member of the European Parliament from Poland and presidential candidate Grzegorz Braun said in a video posted on YouTube, BelTA has learned.

“It is time to promote the idea of developing the concept of an energy bridge with Belarus. Polish energy networks already require a complete upgrade and additional investment, as most of them have not been renovated since they were launched," he said. The Polish politician also added that Polish energy networks might collapse soon.

Grzegorz Braun said that Poland needs to make very important strategic decisions, but they should not be made in isolation from reality. “The reality is that we are here, on the map, not on the moon or in Madagascar. If I like this country and I want to live here, I need to restore relations with my neighbors,” the politician said.

“What is Warsaw doing? It is promoting the US agents who declared themselves the Belarusian alternative government in exile. Would we like it if someone in Berlin or Budapest declared themselves the Polish government in exile?” he stated.
