Makei: No unresolved issues in Belarus-Russia relations

MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia have no unresolved issues in mutual relations, Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei said at he met with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on 16 June, BelTA has learned.

Vladimir Makei noted that there are some technical difficulties but they are addressable.

According to the Belarusian Foreign Minister, the present talks are a good opportunity to discuss the bilateral agenda. “We have no unresolved issues in our relations,” Vladimir Makei stressed. The current agenda will be discussed in a friendly atmosphere at today’s talks, he added.

Greeting his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Makei said that such meetings become a tradition. Among the regular events are the talks on the program of coordinated actions of the two countries. Regular meetings are also held on international forums.

“We have a constant opportunity to compare notes, speak about bilateral relations and outline future steps,” the Belarusian Foreign Minister said.

Vladimir Makei congratulated Sergei Lavrov on Russia’s national holiday and “wished Russia the glory as a state and prosperity to its nation.”
