Lukashenko: Future multipolarity depends on China

MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) - The future multipolarity depends on the People's Republic of China, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told the media on 26 January, BelTA has learned.

“You should persevere. Nowadays the multipolarity depends on you,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he addressed a journalist from China.

The president emphasized that Belarus is willing to cooperate with China on this.

“We need multipolarity. A unipolar world does not ensure prosperity of all nations,” Aleksandr Lukashenko believes. “The Chinese act smart: they do not escalate the situation, do not create tension. They offer to cooperate. A lot depends on the cooperation between China and the United States these days. The future multipolarity, which should keep the world in balance, depends on the People's Republic of China. I wish you to hold your ground and follow this path.”
