Lukashenko comments on results sociological survey: ‘People support us’

BARANOVICHI DISTRICT, 11 September (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko shared his thoughts on the results of the results of the national sociological survey as he visited the Obuz-Lesnovsky combined-arms military training ground on 11 September, BelTA has learned.

During the head of state’s meeting with journalists, the conversation turned to the national sociological survey on current issues of Belarus' social and economic development. The first part of the results was presented to the public, but the president has already received all the survey data.

“People support us; there is no negative sentiment on any issue,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.

“I was surprised: Vitebsk Oblast is the happiest! Who would have thought? So it means our people are strong after all,” the Belarusian leader said by way of example. “We will do everything to ensure that Vitebsk residents are not disappointed going forward.”

Speaking about the state of the economy, the president drew attention to agriculture and the ongoing field work. "The cereal grains have been harvested, the rapeseed has been harvested, we are finishing up the buckwheat. The spring rapeseed, which is still ripening, will be cropped within a week. What will remain is corn for grain,” he said.

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, there are some minor problems in industry, but overall the sector is showing good growth. “We will bring the remaining enterprises to their senses; they will work as they should," the head of state said
