MINSK, 6 May (BelTA) – May Meetings with Belarus will introduce the Belarusian art to the Hungarian people, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Hungary Alexander Khainovsky said at the presentation of the event in Budapest on 5 May.

The diplomat emphasized the importance of developing the Belarusian-Hungarian relations in culture and art for further rapprochement of the two nations. May.by – May Meetings with Belarus is an annual event held by the Belarusian embassy in Budapest since 2007. May Meetings, in their seventh time this year are expected to demonstrate all the bright sides of the Belarusian culture.

The Hungarian audience got familiar with the exhibitions of the Belarusian clothing “Traditions and Modern Age” and the works of art director of Khoroshki ensemble Alexei Gayevoi.

Attending the event were representatives of the Hungarian public agencies, the diplomatic corps accredited in Hungary, businessmen and creative intelligentsia.
