‘Favorite place to meet’: Children’s music contest jury chief on Slavianski Bazaar

VITEBSK, 14 July (BelTA) – Slavianski Bazaar is a favorite place to meet, Ilona Bronevitskaya, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, singer, actress, TV presenter and jury chair of the 24th International Children’s Music Contest Vitebsk, told BelTA.

Slavianski Bazaar has a truly rich history, bringing together artists from various countries in Vitebsk for 35 consecutive years. Ilona Bronevitskaya noted that the festival has united two kin nations.
“I had a solo concert at the amphitheater even before the Bazaar started. We used to climb onto the stage via a small wooden ladder, and there was nothing backstage,” she said.

The Russian artist emphasized that the Belarusian audience is the warmest and the best. “The Bazaar crowd is even better than just a regular Belarusian audience. It is pure happiness to step onto the stage and feel that warmth and kindness. It is something we all miss in our daily lives. Belarus is truly special. I think out of all the Slavs, Belarusians are the best. My grandfather was Belarusian,” Ilona Bronevitskaya said.
