Expert names Belarus and Russia’s most valuable resource

MINSK, 26 July (BelTA) – In the latest episode of BelTA’s project V Teme [On Point] military expert Nikolai Buzin dwelled on the main resource that Belarus and Russia possess

“We ourselves are capable of a great deal. We used to think we could just buy things somewhere... But we need to have our own brains, our own development path. Our minds work perfectly well, and we have a solid education system. This resource must be put to use. The main resource of Belarus and Russia is smart people. We are capable of making technological breakthroughs,” the expert emphasized.

As Nikolai Buzin noted, technological superiority once lay with Europe, but it has lost that edge. While it may still hold an advantage in certain specific areas, in global terms technological leadership has shifted to other regions of the world. Thus, he is confident that Belarus and Russia can either obtain the necessary technologies from friendly countries or they already possess the relevant expertise in various fields themselves.

Europe has not only lost its technological edge but also lacks valuable resources. As such, the claims that regularly surface among European political elites and in Western media about a possible Russian aggression are meaningless. The talk is that after the conflict in Ukraine ends, Russia would supposedly invade European countries. “As if, just a little more, and all the tanks will roll in. For what? Europe has no resources. The main value in the world today is resources,” the expert emphasized. “I would like to say the following: no one wants war today. It costs enormous money.”
