Expert: Belarus is now part of the global majority and a generator of stability in the region

MINSK, 11 August (BelTA) – Belarus has managed to get successfully integrated into the global majority and become a generator of stability in the region. Aleksandr Tishchenko, an expert in the field of national security, made the statement in a recent episode of BelTA’s project On Point.
“The global majority took shape at a very fast pace, and the Third World, as it was called before, has already ceased to be the third. These countries are taking leading positions in terms of power and resources. And the West can no longer fail to take this majority into account,” Aleksandr Tishchenko said.
According to the expert, Belarus has managed to successfully integrate into the global majority and become a generator of stability in the region. “They look at us, somewhere even envy and fear us. But not because we pose a threat to anyone, but because our stability and standard of living discredit the Western authorities who tried to take some steps against us,” he believes.
Belarus pursues a very competent international policy. In fact, Minsk does not build relations with other parties against someone, but offers friendship to all interested countries. At the same time, Belarus does not jeopardize its sovereignty and strengthens it. “This equality of relations is a condition for joining the global majority. This attracts other countries and makes relations tighter,” the expert said.
He drew attention to another important point that fundamentally distinguishes the current global majority from Western countries. “The global majority was not created to rule the minority. How were things in the past? A minority ruled the majority, and the colonial policy of the West was built on this. Attempts to revive this colonial system are made even now, but the majority confidently states that this will no longer happen,” Aleksandr Tishchenko concluded.
