Ergun: Belarus, Turkey should intensify all-round cooperation

ANKARA, 31 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Turkey need to intensify all-round cooperation, Turkey’s Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Nihat Ergun said as he met with Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei in Ankara on 31 October, BelTA has learnt.

“The Belarusian-Turkish relations have been gaining momentum but under the present-day conditions we should try our best to deepen them. We should intensify the development of all-round cooperation between our countries,” Nihat Ergun noted.

According to the Minister, it is important that Belarus and Turkey develop investment cooperation in the field of industry. “We also deem it important to open a specialized industrial zone, develop relations between small and medium-sized enterprises and cooperate in science and technologies and in the field of standardization,” he said.

Nihat Ergun thinks it is important that the two governments organize a fruitful dialogue between businessmen and prepare for effective and productive negotiations. Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei agreed with the Turkish Minister and noted that the Belarusian Foreign Ministry will exert every effort to achieve these objectives.
