Coale: Belarus, USA will continue resolving remaining issues

MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) – Belarus and the USA will continue working to resolve their remaining issues, U.S. Special Envoy for Belarus John Coale told the media following the talks in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

“Both sides will continue working to resolve the remaining issues. Once everything is settled and agreed upon by both parties, there will be further releases of individuals and the lifting of sanctions on Belarusian companies,” John Coale said.

The U.S. special envoy noted that the current talks in Minsk had been highly productive. “As always, I extend my gratitude to Belarus and am profoundly grateful to President Lukashenko,” he said.

As previously reported, following this round of Belarus-USA talks, the United States announced plans to lift sanctions on two Belarusian companies: Lakokraska and the Bellesbumprom concern.
