“Trading and public catering organizations started preparing for the country's big sporting event long time ago,” the ministry noted.

The Trade Ministry has developed a catalogue of products with 2014 IIHF WC logo. As of 1 September 2013, it included goods of 75 national producers who had signed contracts on the manufacturing of the 2014 IIHF logo products. Among them are magnets, pendants, badges, bookwork, stickers, crystal pucks, sticks, cups, vases, flickers, gym suits, ties, bags, backpacks, foodstuffs. “Everything is in great demand today,” First Deputy Trade Minister Artur Karpovich noted.

In his words, goods with the 2014 IIHF WC logo are available almost in every store across the country. The ministry does its best to provide Belarusians as well as guests of the championship with an opportunity to acquire the 2014 IIHF WC souvenirs. “With this end in view, the Trade Ministry is working in close cooperation with the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation to include a wide assortment of the championship logo products into the range of goods available in trading organizations of different form of ownership, including motorway service stations and forecourts,” Artur Karpovich said.
