Andrei Savinykh: Reasonable sufficiency should determine the cost of a positive image of Belarus

MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – The cost of shaping a positive image of Belarus abroad should be harnessed to the principle of reasonable sufficiency. The opinion was voiced by Andrei Savinykh, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, at the press conference held on 12 November to highlight the fourth international forum meant to discuss ways to enhance the image of the Republic of Belarus and relevant benefits, BelTA has learned.

It would not be entirely correct to specify a sum that has to be spent to reach the goal, believes Andrei Savinykh. “Any manager always works with a lack of resources. But then there is the principle of reasonable sufficiency that disallows spending more or less than needed,” noted the Foreign Ministry Press Secretary.

He believes that at the national program level several billions of rubles to shape a positive image of Belarus would be a good start. “Taking into account the amount of money we spend these days I think that several billions of rubles would be good in order to consolidate efforts of all the ministries. Taking into account the principle of reasonable sufficiency and rationality it is possible to come up with the sum of about Br2-5 billion. It may be a good start nowadays,” said Andrei Savinykh.
