MINSK, 1 February (BelTA) – Belarusian Labor and Social Protection Deputy Minister Yulia Berdnikova reveiled the key events planned for the Year of the Belarusian Woman in a recent episode of BelTA’s project The Nation Speaks.

“In the Year of the Belarusian Woman, the central event will be the launch of women’s internet radio: a significant milestone for all Belarusian women. International-level forums and competitions are also planned. First and foremost, the forum Conversation about what matters: Happy family – strong state under the auspices of the Council of the Republic of Belarus,” Yulia Berdnikova said.

The country will host national competitions, among the most important being Woman of the Year and the traditional Family of the Year. “They promote family values and traditions. The Family of the Year contest will begin in May and conclude on Mother’s Day in October. A family festival Together will also take place under the auspices of the Belarusian Union of Women. In summer, the youth project Girls’ Wreath of Peace will be implemented, promoting youth initiatives in the socio-economic and cultural development of the country,” the deputy minister noted.

Equally important are nationwide informational and educational projects. For example, the Helping Hand project under the Council of the Republic will support women in difficult life situations. The Ministry of Labor will also organize campaigns for women and provide free consultations for mothers raising children.

“In late 2026, the international forum The Role of Women in Preserving Peace will be held. It will take stock of the year’s activities and serve as a dialogue platform to discuss achievements and future plans,” Yulia Berdnikova emphasized.
